Management of the fishery

The Macquarie Island Toothfish Fishery Management Plan 2006 is not in force at this stage as the process for granting Statutory Fishing Rights needs to be completed.

The Management Plan is expected to come into force from 1 July 2007. Until then the Fishery will be managed in accordance with the Macquarie Island Fishery Interim Management Policy  (PDF 4.2mb).
