Environment Update

The Environment Update was produced every few months since 1997 to December 2007 to report on our involvement in current issues of an environmental nature. Issues frequently addressed included:

• our role in implementing the Environment Protection and Biodiversity Conservation Act 1999 (EPBC Act) including assessment of Commonwealth fisheries and protected and threatened species, issues relevant to stakeholders, recovery plans and threat abatement plans.
• Marine protected areas (MPA's) and the development of MPA Management Plans by the Department of the Environment and Water Resources.
