Privacy statement

All personal information collected by the Australian Fisheries Management Authority (AFMA) is protected by the Privacy Act 1988. Information on the Commonwealth Privacy Act 1988 can be found on the Office of the Privacy Commissioner’s website.

When you visit our website, the Australian Fisheries Management Authority (AFMA) makes a record of your visit and logs the following information for statistical purposes:

• the date and time of your visit to the site;
• the previous site you have visited ;

• and the number of bytes transmitted and received for each request.

• We will only record your email address if you send us a message
• Your email address will only be used for the purpose for which you provide it

While AFMA endeavours to provide a secure internet environment, users should note there are inherent risks associated with transmission of information via the internet.
