Following are forms for use by Management Advisory Committee (MAC) and Resource Assessment Group (RAG) members. For more information please contact Mr Graham Rudd on telephone (02) 6225 5342, fax (02) 6225 5439 or email graham.rudd@afma.gov.au.
Daily sitting fees
MAC Chairs can claim $588 per day and MAC members can claim $405 per day.
Sitting fees are classed as salary and as such require completion of an Australian Taxation Office (ATO) Tax File Declaration form . Also, where monthly payments exceed $450 in any one month, AFMA is required to pay an additional 9% superannuation into an ATO authorised superannuation fund. This fund must accept electronic transfers – not Bpay. Where a members’ super fund does not meet requirements, an Australia Government Employees Trust (AGEST) super account will be opened.
Please note, to be paid sitting fees, you will need to provide AFMA with the following forms as appropriate.
