The BSCZSF will be opened and fishing can commence at 00:01am Eastern Standard Time on 12 July 2019 and close on 31 December 2019. No scallop fishing is permitted before this time.
The AFMA Commission has determined the TAC at:
- 3897 tonnes for Commercial scallops, and
- 100 tonnes for Doughboy scallops
and four closures will apply for the season:
- Flinders Island;
- Apollo Bay 1;
- King Island 7; and
- King Island Bluedot Extended
