AFMA Research Committee research priority scopes 2026–27

The AFMA Research Committee (ARC) is making its annual public call for proposals to address research priorities identified for potential AFMA funding in in 2026–27. 

The AFMA Research Committee (ARC) met in August 2025 to consider fishery-specific research priorities identified by individual fisheries Resource Assessment Groups (RAGs) and Management Advisory Committees (MACs). From this, a range of research priorities were identified for potential funding in 2026–27. Applicants will need to submit a full proposal against these priorities.

Applicants should use the fishery-specific project scopes provided as a guide when developing their full proposals to meet the identified need for the project.
