Tomorrow’s seafood industry leaders visit AFMA

Participants in this year’s National Seafood Industry Leadership Program (NSILP) heard an in-depth overview of AFMA and its responsibilities from Ryan Murphy, Senior Manager, Policy, Environment and Research, Fisheries Management Branch, and Tod Spencer, Senior Manager, National Compliance Strategy, Fisheries Operations Branch.

NSILP is a selective six-month government funded program which builds capacity and skills for the Seafood Industry’s upcoming leaders. This leadership development program caters to aspiring leaders in Australia’s seafood industry, with this year’s cohort including consultants, business owners, and government employees.

NSILP is delivered through funding from the Fisheries Research and Development Corporation (FRDC), and developed, managed, and delivered by Affectus, and sponsored by Austral Fisheries.
