Following a strong 2025, the Australian Fisheries Management Authority (AFMA) is building on key achievements as we move through 2026.We delivered many major initiatives in another big year of managing and monitoring Commonwealth fisheries, working against illegal, unreported and unregulated (IUU) fishing, actively participating in regional fisheries management organisations and supporting and collaborating with our counterparts in the Asia-Pacific region.

The Commission convened for its 101^st meeting in Adelaide on 10 and 11 March 2026.
