The Australian Fisheries Management Authority (AFMA) is seeking applications for a vacant Conservation Member position on the Shark Resource Assessment Group (SharkRAG). SharkRAG is one of the primary sources of scientific and economic advice that contributes to the management of the Gillnet, Hook and Trap Sector of the Southern and Eastern Scalefish and Shark Fishery.

• Northern Prawn Management Advisory Committee (NORMAC)
• Tropical Tuna Management Advisory Committee (TTMAC)
• Sub-Antarctic Management Advisory Committee (SouthMAC)

The Australian Fisheries Management Authority (AFMA) is pleased to announce that vessel monitoring system (VMS) compliance from Commonwealth fisheries reached a peak of 99.4% as a result of AFMA’s recent zero-tolerance campaign.
